Science comes to life at the 5th Annual Beckman Arts & Science Family Festival! Join us for an exciting afternoon where hands-on experiments, live performances, and interactive exhibits spark curiosity for innovators of all ages. Explore robotics, build engineering projects, race LEGO cars, observe the sun through telescopes, meet live animals, and create take-home inventions—from LED creations to mechanical robots. 

Event Performances and Activities 

Engaging exhibits, workshops, and hands-on activities presented by community organizations including the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation, Bionerds, Inc., Brain Builders STEM Education, Inc., Child Creativity Lab, Club SciKidz Orange County and South Bay, Crystal Cove Conservancy, Environmental Nature Center, Girls IN Focus, Girls Inc. of Orange County, Inside the Outdoors (OC Dept. of Education), Kaiser Permanente, Laguna Ocean Foundation, Orange Coast College Astronomy, Play-well TEKnologies, Rolling Robots, Santa Ana Zoo, Science Heads Inc., STEAM for All, S.T.E.A.M. Race to Space Reading Challenge, and Urban Workshop. 

Plus! Mini train rides, balloon twisters, and play areas.

Event Food

Food & beverages will be available to purchase at George’s Café as well as local food trucks. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own refreshments, however outside alcohol, glass containers, tables, barbecues, and food preparation will not be permitted on the Plaza.
