Volunteers
Our classes wouldn't be as successful without the helping hands of our volunteers. Volunteers work alongside our faculty and students providing vital support, encouragement, and care.
Volunteer Requirements
- Ages 14+
- Background checks & mandated reporter certification for ages 18+
- Zoom interview upon invitation
- 1-hour virtual orientation plus 2-hour in-person training
- Participation in weekly classes on a regular basis
We seek individuals who have a great capacity for patience and compassion. We are especially interested in volunteers who have a background or interest in special education, arts education, or therapy-based services (occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc.). A familiarity with American Sign Language is a plus. Our volunteers have flexible mindsets and aren't afraid to play!
