  1. Riverdance is celebrating its 30th anniversary with “The New Generation” 
    Riverdance first captivated audiences as the Eurovision Song Contest Interval Act in 1994, premiering as its own full-length stage show in Dublin the year after. 30 years later, this beloved production has been seen live on stage by over 31 million people and broadcast to over 3.5 billion people worldwide.

  2. “The New Generation” features performers who were not born when the show began 
    None of the dancers in Riverdance 30 – The New Generation were born when the show first captivated audiences as the Eurovision Song Contest Interval Act in 1994. 

  3. The show has produced 74 marriages and 136 babies 
    With over 16,000 performances and 1,500 Irish dancers across this show’s various casts, there have been 74 marriages and 136 "Riverdance babies,” many of whom have now performed in the show. 

  4. Two pairs of siblings are in the current Riverdance tour cast 
    Look out for Anna Mai and Fergus Fitzpatrick from Co. Meath, Ireland and Will and Kieran Bryant from Sydney, Australia! 

  5. Riverdance has been recorded for DVD six times 
    There have been six DVDs of Riverdance recorded in Dublin, New York, Geneva and Beijing with more than 10 million DVDs sold. 

  6. The Riverdance music won a GRAMMY 
    Bill Wheelan’s epic compositions for Riverdance won Best Musical Show Album at the 39th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 1997. Since then, over 3 million Riverdance Albums have been sold. 

  7. Riverdance has performed in every continent except Antarctica 
    Since its inception, Riverdance has premiered across the globe in 606 major cities across 51 countries. The only continent this global sensation has yet to visit is Antarctica! 

  8. Riverdance holds a Guinness World Record 
    Riverdance holds the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Riverdance Line” at 1,693 dancers. 

  9. There is a Riverdance Summer School 
    2,950 dancers have attended the Riverdance Summer School in Dublin and Boston since 2015. In a six-day program, dancers learn the iconic Riverdance choreography from the show’s professional dancers, training in all aspects from nutrition to fitness and general personal management. 

  10. The show’s choreography traces the life of the river from cloud to sea 
    The Riverdance story follows the harmonic lifecycle of water as the river transforms from cloud to sea to cloud again. As the strength of the river builds, dancers gather, signifying new life and energy.
