The Invisible Boy steps out of the shadow
A heartfelt musical about friendship, empathy, and the small acts that make everyone feel seen.
Brian is invisible. He could be standing right next to you and you wouldn’t notice him. At least that’s what happens to Brian when he is in school. He doesn’t get invited to birthday parties and no one wants him on their team for recess games. Even his teacher overlooks him, especially when other kids are misbehaving.
Does he wear a cloak that makes him invisible? No, he’s just a little boy that no one remembers. But it turns out Brian does have a superpower: it’s kindness.
The Family Series closes its season with The Invisible Boy, based on the popular book by Trudy Ludwig. When a new boy named Justin joins Brian’s class, his classmates are a bit wary of him. “What is Justin eating for lunch? It looks really weird.” Brian is the first classmate to make him feel welcome. When they team up for a class project, made even better with Brian’s artistic talent, the rest of the children are wowed by their results. Suddenly, Brian is visible to everyone! This is a high-spirited musical that will help everyone discover the possibilities that begin with a simple act of kindness.
