Volunteering at the Center

Ushers

Ushers

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is always looking for enthusiastic, customer service oriented individuals to become volunteer ushers. Our volunteer ushers provide invaluable services by assisting patrons to their seats, answering questions and most importantly, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for our patrons. As a volunteer, you will have an opportunity to meet many new people as well as see many quality performances. We value you and your interest and generous donation of time.

Docents

The Center Docents are an enthusiastic group of volunteers who share the magic and story of Segerstrom Center for the Arts with thousands of people each year through in-depth, behind-the-scenes walking tours. Founded in 1987, the Center Docents lead more than 1,900 guests each year on tours of Segerstrom Center, exploring the architecturally distinguished buildings which have become one of Orange County’s most immediately recognizable landmarks and cultural symbols.

Studio D Volunteer

The Center’s Studio D: Arts School for All Abilities is recruiting volunteers to assist in our classes. As a volunteer, you will work closely with our Studio D students and teachers in their weekly dance and music classes held at the Center. We require a commitment of support in at least one class per week. You will be asked to support students of all abilities, including those with cognitive and/or physical disabilities, and may be required to provide hands-on assistance. We are especially interested in volunteers who have a background in special education, arts education, or are familiar with American Sign Language. Our classes couldn’t be as successful without the incredible support from our volunteers!
