About Our Paid Internship Program

Segerstrom Center for the Arts' paid internship program offers exciting opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to gain professional experience working side-by-side with administrators, extraordinary artist, and technicians.

Interns undertake a variety of projects which provide an enriching professional career experience. Assignments depend upon the qualifications and interests of the intern as well as the specific needs of each department. Segerstrom Center directors and managers provide focused professional supervision to each intern assigned to their departments. Additionally, interns will be able to attend professional development sessions as well as performances, workshops and classes presented at the Center, free of charge (if space is available) throughout their internship.

The Center offers academic (for credit) paid internships in both the fall and spring as well as paid (no credit offered) summer internship opportunities. All of Segerstrom Center’s internships are arts administration based. Click on the tabs above to explore these opportunities in more detail.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

At Segerstrom Center for the Arts, we celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics, abilities, and perspectives of each individual. We foster inclusion through diversity in gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, cultural backgrounds, life experiences, thoughts and ideas. By providing hands-on experience to a diverse group of emerging professionals through our internship program, Segerstrom Center seeks to not only promote equity and diversity in our own workplace, but also in the performing arts field as a whole.
