Overview
Sakina Ibrahim is an NAACP Image Award-Nominated author, professor, and speaker whose mission is to inspire young people through dance. Using research she collected in Ghana, Sakina has developed empowering curriculum that demonstrates how dance can be a means of sharing cultural history, healing, and community building.
Dancing the Diaspora
This interactive movement-based workshop teaches cultural diversity and history through dance and music. By exploring dances like the traditional West African, Latin and Hip Hop, participants will work together to create community and gain embodied knowledge of how dance connects us all.

Each Additional 60 Minute Workshop - $150
