Public programs

Commitment to accessibility

The Community Engagement department is committed to developing free and low-cost public programs that represent, welcome, and connect the many communities across Southern California. We collaborate with local creators to offer collective experiences for all to enjoy, from dance classes to outdoor concerts and cultural festivals.

Our programs are designed by and for people of all backgrounds, and we strive to amplify perspectives that have been historically underrepresented, including Black, Indigenous, people of color, LGBTQ+, and/or disabled populations.

Summer Sounds is a free, all-ages, sunset concert series happening Friday nights in June and July! Featuring an energetic lineup of multi-genre talents, this specially curated program brings some of Southern California’s most unique and eclectic artists to the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza. What better way to spend a summer evening than by bringing your beach chairs, picnic blankets, enjoying libations and light bites from George’s Café and dancing the night away!

As a non-profit arts organization, Segerstrom Center relies on the support of our community to provide the very best performances on our stages, as well as fund exceptional education and community programs. Ticket sales only cover a portion of our operating budget, which means your contribution will fund the Center’s triumphant return after the devastating impact of COVID-19. Your generosity is deeply appreciated in keeping the arts thriving in Orange County.
