Summer Sounds: Tolliver
This free Friday night concert on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza welcomes Tolliver. An LA-based, Chicago-bred, sequin-loving son of a cowboy-obsessed pastor and a gospel choir singer. His songs are a gumbo of soul, funk, pop, camp and are as funny as they are soul-baring. Bring your beach chairs, picnic blankets, enjoy libations & light bites from George’s Café and dance the night away!

The priorities of the department are to support individuals with disabilities and their families through Studio D: Arts for All Abilities; broaden accessibility to exceptional artistic experiences by offering free and low-cost programming on—and beyond—the Argyros Plaza; and push the boundaries of how the arts can transform, empower, and connect Orange County through Center Without Boundaries.

Summer at the Center

For over 30 years, Summer at the Center has been designed to empower high-risk high school students through active participation in a rigorous two-week program of musical theater classes conducted by professional artists. This unique, nationally recognized program was founded in conjunction with the late Dr. Maurice Allard, who believed in the power of the performing arts as a critical and authentic means to developing self-esteem and building confidence. This extraordinary program continues using the same basic model, achieving its original goals which make a profound and memorable impact on the lives of hundreds of youth in our community.
