A Tribute Portfolio hotel

Have you ever thought about where the stars stay when they have a performance at the Center? There is a wealth of hotels in the area, but our stars prefer to stay at Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel across the street from the Center. As Costa Mesa’s only AAA-recognized Four Diamond hotel, they have played host to such celebrities as Steve Martin, Kristin Chenoweth and the American Ballet Theatre company (celebrity sightings not guaranteed!).

You too can also take advantage of its convenient location in the Theater and Arts District of Costa Mesa for your next staycation. In addition to beautiful rooms and the Hotel’s exquisite Silver Trumpet Restaurant and Bar—where theatergoers often go to enjoy pre- and post-show food and refreshments —the Hotel is an oasis of luxury with its lakeside pool and private cabanas. The Hotel’s location, award winning hospitality and amenities extend beyond its walls as they have supported a number of our artistic and education programs.

Arts Teach

In April 2021, the Hotel played an invaluable role in the Center’s mid-pandemic dance project, Uniting in Movement, with American Ballet Theatre (ABT). For this important venture, the Hotel became ABT’s five-week home-away-from-home by creating a "bubble" for ABT dancers, choreographers, and personnel in accordance with current medical and safety guidelines, providing 42 single-occupancy rooms and daily meal service from the restaurant. Their extensive preparation and exceptional hospitality were critical to safely producing Segerstrom Center’s first mid-pandemic artistic endeavor.

The Hotel has also supported the Center’s largest education program, Arts Teach, which sends teaching artists into local elementary schools to help bring arts experiences to students of all ages. With their funding, the Center was able to bring a variety of teaching artists to nearby elementary schools to teach about empathy, kindness and understanding, all qualities the Hotel values in the hospitality industry.

My Fair Lady

Avenue of the Arts Tribute Portfolio Hotel is owned by Rosanna Inc. and managed by Wincome Hospitality, a family-owned business that believes in participating in neighborhood events, community charities and civic associations.

"With the Center across the street from the Avenue of the Arts Hotel, it’s an obvious connection for us to make," says Paul Sanford, Wincome Hospitality’s CEO and Asset Manager. "The Center is an important part of our community, and we are proud that this hotel—and our company—can play its part as we share a common vision."

The Hotel’s support continued this January with their underwriting financial support of the Lincoln Center Theater’s production of My Fair Lady. Together, we kicked off our Broadway season, with many more to come, and we hope you will join us throughout the year at Silver Trumpet before and after the show!
