  • Do I need to wear a mask?
    • Though masks are also not required for performances, we strongly recommend guests 2+ years of age wear masks consistent with CDC guidelines (completely covering the nose, mouth, and under the chin) while inside our venues and public spaces when not actively eating or drinking.
    • For any event-specific safety policies please review the audience advisory for your performance.
  • What types of masks are accepted?
    • Cloth, surgical, or (K)N95 are acceptable. Gaiters, bandanas, or masks with an exhalation vent will not be allowed. For additional information, please see the CDC's guide to masks for recommended face coverings.
  • What measures are being taken in your venues in response to COVID-19?
    • We’ve implemented many new safety measures at Segerstrom Center including updating our air handling systems to exceed CDC recommendations, installing touchless flush valves and faucets in all restrooms, installed hand sanitizer dispensers throughout our campus, and enhancing our cleaning protocols. Know before you go

Our commitment to your safety

At Segerstrom Center for the Arts, our most important goal is to create an environment in which audiences, artists, volunteers, students, and staff feel safe while attending an event at the Center.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts will no longer require proof of a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination for entry to most performances.

Though masks are also not required for performances, we strongly recommend guests 2+ years of age wear masks consistent with CDC guidelines (completely covering the nose, mouth, and under the chin) while inside our venues and public spaces when not actively eating or drinking.

For any event-specific safety policies please review the audience advisory for your performance.

These policies are subject to change at any time.

Please read on for details about health and safety on our campus and what to know before you go.

  • Air Quality

    • We exceed the CDC recommended filtration recommendations with our MERV-14 filters.
    • Our state-of-the-art air handling systems are operating to full design capabilities to maximize the number of fresh air exchanges per hour.
  • Enhanced cleaning procedures

    • We have implemented rigorous cleaning procedures that follow CDC guidelines for cleaning.
    • We pay special attention to high traffic areas, frequently touched surfaces, like doorknobs, railings, elevator buttons, and restrooms, which are sanitized with increased frequency.
  • Touchless environment

    • All tickets will be delivered to your mobile device to reduce touchpoints.
    • The sale of food and drink will be made by contactless payment or card purchases only.
    • Touchless flush valves and faucets have been installed in all restrooms.
    • We have installed hand sanitizers throughout the campus including the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza.
    • Since everything can’t be touchless, we encourage everyone to wash their hands frequently and to use the hand sanitizer stations located throughout our campus.
  • Health and safety screenings

    • If you or someone in your group doesn’t feel well, has exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days, or has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days, please stay home. Contact our Guest Services team at 714-556-2787 for information about your ticket exchange options.
    • Before each performance, staff, volunteers, and artists are required to certify that they are not experiencing symptoms and have not been recently exposed to COVID-19.
    • To expedite our safety screenings as you enter, please bring minimal personal items with you.
    • Coat check will not be offered.
  • Accessing your digital tickets

    • To access your digital tickets, open a web browser on any mobile device. Go to wallet.scfta.org and log in using the same username and password that you used to purchase your tickets.
    • Once logged in, you will see all the events where you selected to receive a digital ticket. Selecting the event takes you to the tickets for that event. The QR code associated with your ticket will become visible 10 hours before the start of the event.
    • NOTE: The QR code is dynamic and changes every 30 seconds to help prevent unauthorized use of your ticket. DO NOT take a screenshot to use as your ticket as this may cause your ticket to be rejected when it is scanned for entrance to the event.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Center, and please know that we’re doing everything we can to ensure a safe, enjoyable visit. Our staff is here to help. On behalf of everyone at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, thank you for following all health and safety procedures, and enjoy the performances.

These protocols currently in place are subject to change in compliance with revisions to national and local guidelines regarding COVID-19. While we will provide the most up-to-date public health procedures to improve safety, they are not an absolute protection against contracting COVID-19. Persons assume the risk of contracting COVID-19 by entering the facility.
