Welcome to the August/September issue of Revue. It may be the end of summer but our shows never stop. In August we feature the London and Broadway award-winning play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. This story is a puzzle on many levels as math savant Christopher tries to solve the mystery of a dead dog and other questions in his life. It’s a tour de force production as this young man who isn’t quite like most people sets out on an almost impossible journey.

September means the start of a new season of performances at the Center. In this issue we have a look at what's coming up in dance, jazz and chamber music in 2017 and 2018. In every genre we have old favorites returning and new artists and companies making their Center premieres. Some highlights: The Emerson Quartet teams with the Calidore Quartet for a program that includes a sextet and an octet. Two Cuban jazz stars, Alfredo Rodriguez and Pedrito Martinez, will each show how multiple musical influences have shaped their respective careers. And as well as the joyful dance of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, our International Dance Series will feature the West Coast premiere of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan. Start planning your calendar now!
