Giving Opportunities
Patron Support
The exceptional level of financial support from the State of Illinois and the City of Springfield demonstrates the priority public policymakers place on this project. However, public funding only covers part of the total cost of completing the renovation and provides no funding to endow the facility. An endowment is essential for the long-term financial stability of the organization. Interest earned on endowment funds will serve two purposes: not only will it offset the operating cost of the Center, it will also aid tenant arts organizations by assuring that rents are kept at a manageable level. It will also reduce- perhaps even eliminate- the need for the Center to conduct annual fund raising campaigns.
Benefactors of the Center may be assured that their gifts are not only helping to complete a world-class performance venue in the heart of Springfield. Their gifts are also helping to support the varied arts organizations that call the Center their home.
Donors may invest in the arts through contributions on a three-year or five-year giving plan or may choose to leave a lasting legacy through one of the many naming opportunities available for the galleries and performance spaces. For more information, call 523-2787 or contact marketing@scfta.org

Help Us Keep the Doors Open Campaign
The Hoogland Center for the Arts has experienced significant growth and success in its five-plus years of serving the arts community in Springfield and surrounding areas. We have been able to meet our operational needs but continue to work to complete a $3.3 million bond debt in a challenging economic environment.
Our primary concern is bridging the gap between our depleting bond repayment fund until additional opportunities can assist. To meet that need, the Help Us Keep the Doors Open campaign goal is to secure at least 600 pledges of $50 per month for at least a year in order to meet our bond payment needs for 2010. Please help us by pledging your support today.
For budgeting ease, donors to this campaign may take advantage of a convenient new monthly debit program. In appreciation, donors will be honored with a recognition panel on the entryway step risers. Pay your pledge in full and get a $50 voucher toward Hoogland Center for the Arts-specific productions.
