HEAD ELECTRICIAN


Segerstrom Center for the Arts seeks an experienced Head Electrician, to serve as a supervising electrician for the Center's multiple venues, primarily in Segerstrom Hall – a 3000 seat Broadway house.

The qualified candidate must have extensive experience in the preparation, operation and maintenance of theatrical lighting equipment and software, must be highly organized and must have experience in supervising large union crews.  Familiarity with ETC equipment including Unison systems and EOS boards preferred. Must all possess the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot moving lights including Varilight and Macs.  This position will require the willingness to work in various departments as assigned by the Head Carpenter.

This position requires significant physical ability including the ability to climb a ladder and to lift and move weights up to 50 lbs.

This is a full-time hourly position with guaranteed minimum and choice of benefits that requires a flexible schedule including significant weekend and night-time work. This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement with I.A.T.S.E. Local 504.
