Frequently Asked Questions

Please have your first, second and third choice of dates and times available per your school's master calendar when making booking arrangements. Most performances fill quickly, and seats can go quickly.

Busing Rebates
Busing rebates are available to cover the expense of three buses per performance (up to $450 per bus).  There is a limited amount of funds available, and they are available on a first-come first-served basis.  Our guidelines for rebate submissions are listed below.  Please note that failure to comply with ANY requirements will automatically disqualify your school from receiving the rebate. Please check the Busing Rebate page for further details.

The SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVE is responsible for notifying Segerstrom Center for the Arts' Education Department in writing (mail, e-mail or fax) of any changes to the reservation before the payment deadline. Notice of cancellation must be made 1 MONTH before the scheduled concert. Cancellations made less than 1 month in advance will require full payment. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE AFTER THE ONE MONTH PAYMENT DEADLINE.

A confirmation will be sent to you approximately 1 week after full payment is received for your reservation; this letter will include your reservation details.

The Segerstrom Center does not require a deposit for On Stage performances. Full payment is required 30 days prior to the performance date.

Payment for reservations is due at Segerstrom Center for the Arts 30 days prior to the date of performance. Please do not plan to bring payment to the performance. Checks are to be made to Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Please include a copy of your reservation form with your payment.

Tickets cost $5 to $7 per person with one free chaperone ticket for every 15 students.

Program Length
Performances are approximately 60 minutes in length, unless stated otherwise.

There is no fee if a school needs to change a confirmed reservation before the 30-day deadline, but seating is limited and we may not be able to accommodate your group for a different performance. Please confirm your dates and times with the school's master calendar before calling to make booking arrangements to avoid capacity issues.

Teacher Guides
The Segerstrom Center will send a teacher guide for each On Stage performance approximately one month before the performance date. These guides will include information about the artist, art form and pre- and post-performance activities connected to California Content Standards. Please make additional copies and distribute as needed.

Theater Capacity
The maximum capacity for performances in Samueli Theater is between 250 and 300 students and Segerstrom Hall is between 2,000 and 2,750 student, depending on the show.
