Welcome to the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s 2008-2009 Family Series.



Schedule for Samueli performances is Friday at 7:00 p.m.;
Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
SEASON TICKETS TO THE FAMILY SERIES ARE $80

(Subscribers will receive their renewal packets in May)



   
 
The Sippy Cups
CENTER DEBUT

The Sippy Cups offer a family-friendly rock concert experience complete with juggling, puppets, tons of audience interaction and great rock and roll. This highly original Bay Area band delivers an animated and whimsical performance guaranteed to get the whole family rockin'.




Marionetas de la Esquina: Emilio and the Enchanted Cow
CENTER DEBUT

Marionetas de la Esquina, a puppet theater company from Mexico, has been entertaining children and adults alike since 1975. When faced with many changes, young Emilio creates an imaginary friend, a cow who helps him cope with life's challenges.



 Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy

Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy is an all-new live theatrical adventure that takes audiences soaring through the air into a magical forest on stage. An international cast of graceful aerialists, spine-bending contortionists, vine-swinging characters, strong men and balancers bring this jungle dream to life in a lush, Broadway-like setting filled with wildly unpredictable designs, special effects, inventive choreography, puppetry and dazzling costumes. Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy is an exhilarating journey the entire family should experience together.


  Beyond the Beanstalk

Das Puppenspiel takes a step beyond the familiar "Jack and the Beanstalk" to present a series of tales handed down by storytellers over many years. Originating in England and later coming to America and the Appalachian region, "The Jack Tales" feature simple, but clever, Jack, who lands himself into all kinds of adventures in his travels. Large beautifully crafted 'bunraku' style puppets and traditional folk music combine to bring new life to this storytelling tradition. Come and be part of the magic and fun as "Beyond the Beanstalk" re-introduces American audiences to a part of their cultural heritage!
