More than 25 years ago, three virtuoso musicians joined forces for a series of now legendary concerts at the world famous Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto, Italy. Each went on to highly acclaimed solo careers. Now, for the first time since those electrifying concerts, Jeffery Kahane, Joseph Swensen and Carter Brey reunite as a formidable trio.

  Emerson String Quartet

With 16 appearances, Center audiences have enjoyed a long and incredibly rewarding relationship with the Emerson String Quartet. This season, we begin a new chapter in this incredible rewarding artistic partnership. For the first time in its venerable history, the Emerson welcomes a new artist to its ranks, as cellist Paul Watkins takes the place of the departing David Finckel. For this milestone engagement, the Emerson will perform a special program of Beethoven's mighty "Razumovsky" Quartets.

  St. Lawrence String Quartet

The always-adventurous St. Lawrence String Quartet will take Center audiences on a most exciting journey with this performance as they perform the world premiere of a new work by composer James Matheson commissioned for the Center's chamber music series by two long-time attendees.

Brooklyn-based composer James Matheson has rapidly emerged as one of the most distinctive, vital, and creative musical voices of his generation with commissions for the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Carnegie Hall and the Borromeo String Quartet.

  Philharmonia Baroque Chamber Players

In 2005, a select group of musicians from the award-winning Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra performed in a special concert in London's Covent Garden, and the Philharmonia Baroque Chamber Players was born. Since then, this esteemed group has thrilled audiences with sparkling performances of baroque masterpieces by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and others.

Box Office Hours
The Center Box Office, located at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, is open daily from 10:00 6:00 p.m. On days with evening performances, the box office remains open half-an-hour after the show begins. Holiday hours may vary.
